Instagram Protects Profile Pictures Technically

Instagram's CDN URLs for profile pictures use hotlink protection. If you somehow locate the CDN URL and paste it into a browser, Instagram blocks the request unless it comes from an approved source. This is deliberate. Instagram enforces its Terms of Service technically, not just in writing — the Terms state that all content belongs to the creator, and the platform makes it genuinely difficult to extract that content without going through approved channels.

How Our Tool Gets Around It

The Honest Answer

No, and any tool claiming otherwise isn't telling you the truth. When someone sets their account to private, Instagram restricts access to their data on the server side — including the profile picture URL.
